British Academy Award-winning animator, author and teacher, Tony White has studied and worked with some of the biggest names in the history of traditional, hand-drawn animation. He initially apprenticed with three times Oscar winner, Richard Williams, and studied with some of the greats from the Disney and Warner Brothers golden era. His own books are used by colleges around the world, and he currently runs his own online ‘2D Academy’ school out of the Pacific Northwest. In this imaginative book, Tony tells his story - from its humble beginnings to master animator – creating over 200 TV Commercials, 2 TV Specials, several Short Films & ‘The Pink Panther Strikes Again’ movie titles. Tony remembers events from his time at the Halas & Batchelor and Richard Williams studios in London, plus his own incredible adventures from his own Animus Productions studio - after which Tony shut up shop and moved to the USA in 1998 to teach, write and develop productions. Don't be surprised by the other unsolicited and illustrated contributions by his largely imaginary muse, mentor and general pain-in-the-butt, 'Arnie', too!
